Rocket.Chat

NewReleases can send notifications directly to your Rocket.Chat channel or even multiple channels.

The integration is done using Rocket.Chat Incomming Webhooks. You would need to create a new Webhook and add it to NewReleases on Rocket.Chat settings page.

How to set it up?

1. In your Rocket.Chat, go to Administration > Integrations. If you don’t have the Administration option in your Main Menu, you would have to get appropriate permissions.
2. Click New in the top right corner of the page and set Post to Channel and Post as for the webhook. There is no need to se any additional scripts.
3. Do not forget to check Enabled on top of the form.
4. Click on Save.
5. Copy the URL that is displayed in Webhook URL field.
6. Open NewReleases Rocket.Chat settings page.
7. Enter the webhook name, paste the URL that you just copied and click Add Webhook button.

Messages

NewReleases will send messages only about new releases of the project that you configured with Rocket.Chat notifications, a message when you enable the integration and one on integration removal. No other type of messages will be sent.

By using a webhook integration, NewReleases is unable to access channel's content which ensures complete privacy.

Removal

The proper way to remove Rocket.Chat integration is from the same Settings page where you have enabled it. It is possible to enable and disable NewReleases Rocket.Chat integration unlimited number of times for any channel that you want.
