GenomeSpy for Python 0.9.0 upgrades the bundled renderer and generated grammar to GenomeSpy Core 1.3.0.
New authoring support
- Figwig lazy data sources, branch and values transforms, category and interactive legend selections, categorical grouping and zooming, dendrogram domain outputs, and rule fills and borders.
- Generated public schema-class exports alongside the existing Python builders. New schema features are discovered by the generator rather than added individually by hand.
Fixes and compatibility
- Adopt upstream fixes for shared hover, categorical-domain updates and multi-column legends.
- Preserve nested branch transforms and container union annotations in generated APIs.
- Reuse checked schema setup to speed repeated serialization while retaining validation of every instance and changed custom schemas.
- Empty ungrouped aggregates now emit zero-valued rows; selection projection follows the expanded Core grammar.
- Retain v0.8.1's native notebook sizing fixes. Straight-link SVG exports, zero-height dendrogram viewports and exact brush-boundary matching remain known upstream limitations. Additional Scanpy integration workflows using the new capabilities remain separate work.
