What's changed
- Fix opening genuinely empty JSONL corpora: JsonlCorpus now loads zero-byte files as an empty corpus, and integer indexing raises IndexError.
- Preserve immediate rejection of truncated corpus files whose saved or in-memory line index still contains documents, with file-handle cleanup on failure.
- Add empty-file coverage and strengthen the stale-index regression tests.
