Added
- Use the existing
role, permissionandroleOrPermissionroute macros on route groups, including router-first and prefixed group declarations, by @ziadoz in #2980. - Group macros accept the same string, array and backed-enum inputs as individual routes.
Documentation and verification
- Document Laravel's normal group middleware replacement behavior: call
middleware()before authorization macros, or use nested groups to add middleware without replacing authorization checks. Individual routes continue to append middleware. - Add HTTP coverage for safe ordering, nested authorization constraints, sibling isolation and the intentional distinction between group and individual-route middleware behavior.
No breaking changes. PHP and Laravel requirements are unchanged.
