npm redmatic-homekit 4.2.0
v4.2.0

Changed

  • HAP library: @homebridge/hap-nodejs 2.2.3 → 2.3.0. It is an ES module
now, which Node.js 22.12 or newer and 24 load through require(); the
supported Node.js versions stay as they are. Existing pairings, the bridge
identity and the ids of accessories and services carry over unchanged. The
release also closes a number of ways a malformed request could crash
Node-RED, and the installed package needs 13 fewer dependencies.
  • A HomeKit name of a single letter or digit is valid now; the editor no
longer marks it and hap-nodejs no longer warns about it.
  • Sending new properties to the universal node's characteristic while the
bridge is published now makes HomeKit re-read the accessory's configuration,
so a changed range reaches the Home app without a restart.
