Requirements

This SDK works with any supported version of React Native.

Changes

• Upgrade the Android SDK to version 5.5.6.
• Upgrade the iOS SDK to LinkKit 6.5.4.
• iOS: LinkKit is now bundled in the npm package as LinkKit.xcframework
  instead of being pulled from the Plaid CocoaPod. CocoaPods distribution of
  LinkKit ended at 6.5.1 and CocoaPods trunk becomes read-only on
  2026-12-02, so this is the only way for 12.x to ship newer LinkKit fixes. If
  your Podfile declares pod 'Plaid' directly, remove it and run
  pod install; otherwise no integration changes are required.

Android

Android SDK 5.5.6

Changes

• Security improvements and bug fixes (5.5.6).
• Fix a static-initialization crash in LinkAccountVerificationStatus and other public sealed classes when an activity is restored after the app's process was killed (5.5.5).
• Fix back navigation for apps targeting SDK 36, where Android 16's predictive back caused Link to close with LinkError(LinkException, "No result returned.") and null metadata instead of a cancellation (5.5.4).

iOS

iOS SDK 6.5.4

Changes

• Fix Link opening at the size the window had when the session was created. Unfolding an iPhone Duo or resizing an iPad multitasking window before opening Link no longer leaves it in a column at the old width (6.5.4).
• Fix a crash impacting Layer customers (6.5.3).
• Security improvements (6.5.2).
• Fix an invalid purpose value in the privacy manifest (6.5.1).
