gitlab tposney/midi-qol v14.6.1

latest release: v14.6.2

14.6.1

  • Requires Foundry 14.369, dnd5e 6.0.6 and DAE 14.6.1.

Rolls and saves

  • Fixed: the Default saving throw multiplier setting was ignored; a successful save always took half damage.
  • Changing the ability in midi's save/check dialog builds the roll as dnd5e 6 does (rule bonuses, condition reductions), without deprecated fields.
  • flags.midi-qol.concentrationSaveBonus maps to system.attributes.concentration.roll.bonus.
  • Fixed: with Roll saves before damage on and hits not checked, an attack was treated as missing every target, so Autocomplete workflow finished the workflow before damage was rolled (and Remove buttons: everything removed the Damage button).

Damage

  • Fixed: the chat card context menu's Apply Damage (and Healing, Double, Half) on a midi card ignored the target's resistances, immunities and vulnerabilities; it now applies damage as dnd5e does.

Targeting

  • Fixed: with Enable Target Confirmation off, a hidden Confirm targets if none selected option still asked for confirmation.
  • MidiQOL.requiresTargetConfirmation(activity, options): whether using the activity would ask for target confirmation.

Conditions and macros

  • Fixed: damageTypes and defaultDamageType in conditions were empty before damage was rolled; they come from the activity's damage parts.
  • Fixed: MidiQOL.addRollTo given an unevaluated roll failed on Foundry 14. It evaluates a dice-free roll; dice that have not been rolled give an error pointing to the new MidiQOL.addRollToAsync, which rolls them.
  • Fixed: @item.actionType in conditions and itemData.actionType in on-use macro arguments were always empty; they give the action type of the activity being used.
  • Fixed: ActivityOverTime effects registered their change mode with DAE as -1, so DAE's effect editor would not open for them.
  • Fixed: OverTime specs split at every comma, so a value containing one (saveDC=max(10, @abilities.str.mod), {1d6,2}kh, a condition, a label) was cut short. A new field now starts only at ,key= (or #key=); @ fields are filled in per value.

Activities

  • Fixed: a transform activity in dnd5e 6's Select Form mode tried to transform the targets into an actor instead of applying the chosen form, and applied every form to the targets.
  • Fixed: a forward activity's sheet would not open (14.6.0).
  • Fixed: challenge mode armor's EC and AR were not shown in the armor class dialog (dnd5e renamed it to ArmorClassConfig).
  • Fixed: with dnd5e 6, Enchant and Forward activity sheets would not open for editing.
  • Fixed: with dnd5e 6, the AoE Behaviours section was missing from activity Effect tabs.

Effects and expiry

  • Reaction, bonus action, flanking and flanked markers use native expiry rather than DAE's deprecated special durations.
  • Fixed: an applied enchantment expired by midi was disabled instead of deleted.
  • Effects midi creates with an activity's duration no longer use DAE's retired Elapsed Time expiry; dnd5e 6 gives them Turn Start in combat.

Chat messages

  • Fixed: midi's skill, check and save messages and Active Defence rolls used Foundry 14's deprecated rollMode option.
  • Fixed: the Active Defence show setting listed Foundry 14's deprecated roll modes and did not show the saved choice.
  • Fixed: whispered, blind and emote chat messages lost dnd5e's coloured bottom border (purple for GM/self rolls, magenta for blind) while midi was active.
  • Fixed: Colored Border Messages set to None still drew a coloured left bar on every chat message, in the viewing user's colour. With None, dnd5e's own card border is left as it is.
  • Fixed: Colored Border Messages "Border + Name Text" did not colour the speaker's name on dnd5e cards.
  • Changing Colored Border Messages redraws the chat cards already in the log; previously it showed only on new messages or after a reload.
  • The coloured left bar (and name colour) is the owning player's colour on every client; it no longer overrides the roll-mode bottom border.
  • Fixed: with the dark theme, midi's Attack/Damage buttons on chat cards (and its tooltips) kept a light parchment background behind light text.

Settings

  • Removed the DR.all per damage detail house rule and Display if save had Advantage/Disadvantage options, which no longer did anything.
  • Fixed: the Allow GM to fudge damage application quick setting threw an error setting a removed setting.

Foundry 14 compatibility

  • Deletions use Foundry 14's ForcedDeletion instead of the -= key syntax, which Foundry 14.369 warns about.
  • Sample items: Regeneration no longer carries stray -= flag keys; Goggles of Night, Lantern and Bullseye Lantern macros use _del.

Removed

  • Removed code that could not run on Foundry 14 / dnd5e 6 (no behaviour change).
