• Updated to Phoenix 2025.01.22.1.
  
• Enabled Cookies Having Independent Partitioned State (CHIPS). Learn more.
  
• Enabled SmartBlock placeholder embeds for Enhanced Tracking Protection, meaning certain resources that could be used for tracking are now click to load.
  
• Automatic translations have been disabled.
  
• IronFox now supports x86_64 machines (including emulators/Waydroid)!
  
• Safe Browsing is now enabled by default. We have set up a proxy for Google Safe Browsing at https://safebrowsing.ironfoxoss.org. This proxy is now used by default in IronFox. The proxy sources are available at ironfox-oss/safebrowsing-proxy.
  
• The browser’s default theme is now set to light mode for added fingerprinting protection, due to our new approach - which is also being introduced this release.
  
• The Always request desktop site preference is now accessible and can be used for ease of use on large screen devices. This preference is somewhat broken, but was made accessible on community's request. Avoid using this if you frequently switch between mobile and desktop browsing modes.

• To use Safe Browsing, ensure that the following prefs are set to true:

  • browser.safebrowsing.features.malware.update
    
  • browser.safebrowsing.features.phishing.update
