GPT v2.5.0

  • A new test for the Releases API has been added (thanks @niskhakova)! !304
    • Note that this test requires the newest Large Project (vertical) test data (v2) to be imported with GPT Data Generator. Refer to the Upgrade Notes section below for more info.
  • GPT will automatically skip tests that require a newer Large Project test data version (thanks @niskhakova). !305
  • New tests for the Tags API and Webpage have been added! !303
  • GPT will now save test results as a CSV file in the results/ folder (thanks @mkaeppler)! !293
  • Several tweaks have been made to allow GPT to be run without an Admin user. This is still unrecommended as several tests won't be able to run without this access but the option is now given if you have strict security requirements. An Admin user is still needed for GPT Data Generator. More info can be found in the docs here. !300
  • Several test thresholds have been tweaked !301 !299 !306 !285
  • Dependent Gems have been updated to latest versions !295

GPT Data Generator v1.0.17

Upgrade Notes

New Test Data Release

The new Releases API Test requires the new version of our opinionated Large Project (Vertical) test data - v2.

To get this updated data in an environment that's already had data configured all that's required is to run the latest version of GPT Data Generator as normal. It will automatically detect this and guide you through the process to set up the newest data.

Note that the old data will continue to work as well but GPT will automatically skip tests that need the newer versions.
