New and improved
- Resize exclidraw embeds in Live Preview, edit their embed syntax, or open a fullscreen preview and the editable drawing.
- Mermaid now converts Gantt, quadrant and timeline charts to editable elements and uses elbow connectors for flowcharts. Update Excalidraw Extras to use the new converter.
- With K-Plex 0.4.2 or newer enabled, complete k-plex ontology fields in element links and text element using your configured triggers (e.g.: ":::"), then continue with
[[note]]completion inside parentheses or square brackets for inline ontology. - Mindmap Builder. Enter a LaTeX formula as a node to render it as an image node; editing the node restores its Markdown equation source.
- Paste code blocks as interactive embeddables or editable Markdown images, and optionally remember your choice. Code images adapt to their content up to 800 px wide and wrap long lines without scrollbars.
Fixed
- Exporting Markdown notes with embedded Excalidraw frames to PDF no longer hangs while preparing the document.
- Empty settings records now trigger recovery instead of silently resetting preferences and script settings.
- Extracting a local Markdown image to a note now defaults to the drawing's folder. You can still choose another destination. #3009
- The exit-Zen button no longer overlaps the zoom indicator, including in narrow panes. #3000
- Ctrl/Cmd+S while editing text now submits the text and force-saves the current drawing instead of opening standalone export. #2941
- Newly pasted code-block cards now fit their rendered content while preserving their width and later manual resizing. #2894
