Disco! 3.2.2
A follow-up to 3.2.1.
Added
- Default artwork: a song with no cover anywhere (embedded, a cover file next to it, or Online Album Art) now shows a grey note on dark grey on the Music screen, its backdrop, thumbnails and Immersive, instead of an empty square. It never changes the accent colour and is never saved as the song's cover; with Online Album Art on, a real cover is still looked up.
Changed
- Wheel lists: an album, and an artist's list of albums, open with the cover, Play and Shuffle just under the screen header and the first songs visible below — no scrolling to reach them. Rows never slide under that taller row, at any scroll position.
Fixed
- Queue: tapping a queued song (or Next with songs queued) always starts it. When diskOS can't read the playing song or its list, the queue plays on its own and afterwards goes back to the album or playlist it interrupted, at the song after the interrupted one. Shuffle can make "the song after" a different one; pausing within the last 2.5 seconds of the last queued song counts as the end.
- Tags with double quotes: with an album tagged
"Let's Rock"(quotes included) — or a title, artist or path with a"— Now Playing stayed on the previous song while the new one played, and the Music screen had no cover. The stock player doesn't escape quotes in its track message; Disco now rebuilds such a message from its fixed layout. Apostrophes were never a problem. - Squash, Wheel lists: rows showed their pill backgrounds until the first scroll.
- Zune (pull request #22 by ericklv): search result text, empty rows while scrolling the theme list, and duplicate Weather/Equalizer shortcuts in Apps (now Album Roulette and Boomshine).
Testing status
Tried on the owner's Disc as test builds 3.2.2-test1 to -test4; the released binary is test4 itself. Also checked on the host renderer (queue, track-message, artwork-transition and wheel-geometry checks). Best-effort hobby release, provided as-is. Back up first, use your own signing keys for an SD update and follow Updating.
