diskOS Disco! 1.5.0
Boomshine is built in, and any app can join the navigation circle.
Note
Already on 1.4.1? 1.5.0 is an ordinary SD update, no reflash (guide).
Coming from 1.4.0 or older? Reflash once with your existing --ota-key, as for 1.4.1.
Boomshine
A chain-reaction game for the round screen. Dots drift around; tap once to set off a blast, and every dot it
catches bursts too. Catch enough to clear the level, across twenty levels. Two looks: NeoN (bright rings on
black) and Pop! (soft pastels on deep blue).
- Built in, nothing to install. Add Boomshine in Disco Options > Disco Menu, or open it from All apps or a
Shortcut. - Your music keeps playing; the game is silent.
- Best score and level are saved. Scores from the earlier separate Boomshine app are carried over.
- Hold Volume Up for 3 seconds to close it if it ever stops responding.
How to play
Apps in the navigation circle
- Any installed app (Disc Shelf, future apps) can now be added to the navigation circle in Disco Options >
Disco Menu, next to the built-in sections. Entries keep their place as you install or remove other apps. - Landing pages. Choosing Boomshine or an app in the circle shows its landing page first: a picture, a short
description and one button. Nothing launches until you tap it, so browsing the circle is always safe. - Apps without their own page get a tidy default ("Installed app" and Launch). App makers can set the line,
description and button text inapp.conf(details). - Folders without anything to run are no longer listed, and Album Roulette and Boomshine never show up twice.
Disc Shelf
- Updated
app.confwith a landing page ("Your Navidrome, on the card.").
Reinstall it to get it; the app itself is unchanged (1.0.4). - A fuller guide: what you need, every setting in
shelf.conf, troubleshooting, going back and removing it.
Install
- SD update: download
mq_uifrom the latest release,
sign it with your keys and install it from the card (guide). - Disc Shelf 1.0.4 and Album Roulette 1.3.1 are unchanged and installed separately.
