Install: ./instalar-linux.sh jangada-0.9.3.fwsc, or the web installer. Same sound as 0.9.2.
Robustness
- Engines no longer share state while they render: ANALOG's voice count, VOICE's noise, FM6's operator buses, the random LFO and PHYS's model change are now per track or done outside the render. Every golden render is unchanged (bit for bit).
- The second core is held at the start of every boot, and a fault on it can no longer freeze the FM-1.
The second core (off)
- Jangada can split the synth tracks between the FM-1's two cores (after X0X and Melodee). It's bit-for-bit the same and free of data races in the host tests.
- It's off by default: on our FM-1 the second core reads RAM wrong under load. X0X 1.0.3 misbehaves on the same unit too, so some FM-1s can't run both cores. Details, and how to try it on yours: BUILDING.md, "The second core". Reported to X0X #10 and Melodee #17.
- Serial console:
cpu2,cpu2 on|off,cpu2_bad, and the crash record now shows which core faulted.
