Update from inside the game: on 0.1.39 or later, press Update now when the game says an update is available, then Restart now. Your saves, settings, game data, mods and texture packs are not touched.

Widescreen menus (beta): F1 → UI → Menus now has three choices:
- Stretched: the 4:3 menus stretched to the width, as before.
- 4:3: at their own shape with side bars, as before ("Menus in 4:3").
- Widescreen (beta): every menu at its true shape across the whole picture. Backgrounds fill the screen, menu columns sit against the screen edges, characters and guides on their side, and plates slide in from the real edges of the picture. Covers the title, main menu, character, stage and music select, Dragon History, Ultimate Battle and its modes, Dragon World Tour, Duel, Ultimate Training, Evolution Z with its shop and customising, the Data Center, Character Reference and Options.
It's a beta: if a screen looks off with it, please tell us which one (a screenshot or a short video helps). Nothing changes for you unless you choose it. The Tenkaichi Budokai Online screens stay stretched for now.
For Mac users building from source
- The setup window builds and runs on macOS too (
sh port/setup/build.sh), and finds Homebrew's tools when started from Finder. - Thank you to josehs08 for testing the first Mac download: two problems he found (the game refused at start, and the setup unable to start a downloaded game) are fixed for the next Mac test build. The Mac version is still experimental and not part of this release.
