Quick match finds players near you. Everything from 0.1.38.8 is included.
Updating on Windows: replace every file of the old copy, not only the .exe.

Quick match prefers nearby players. Many of you reported high ping in quick match: until now it paired you with whoever had waited longest, wherever they were. Now:
- Auto (the default): a player within about 2,500 km is matched at once, the nearest first. If nobody nearby turns up within 25 seconds, it looks everywhere, still nearest first, and the screen says so ("No one nearby: searching everywhere"). After 40 seconds it also reaches players who chose a region.
- A Region of your choice, on the new Region row of Quick Match: North America, South America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia or Oceania. For 40 seconds only players located there; after that, everyone. Nobody waits forever.
- Anywhere: whoever has waited longest, the fastest match, as before.
- When a match is found, the game says where your rival is from, and the round trip once connected.
- Only a rough location is used (the region, and a position rounded to about 100 km), only while you wait for a match, and the other player is only told the region.

The end of a match says why. "The other player left the match", "The other player's game was closed" (now shown at once instead of after six seconds), or "The other player's game lost contact with yours" when the connection failed. (A player on an older version is still shown as "left the match".)
Fixed
- The "Your rival is here!" page of a quick match never appeared: the match started in the same moment, on the "Searching..." picture.
- In a lobby match, the after-battle menu of the player who is not the lobby's owner was off centre, with its last entry below the box.
Good to know
- Nearby matching works between 0.1.38.9 players. Players on 0.1.38.8 and older still match with everyone as before, and still match with 0.1.38.9 players.
- Rooms, lobbies and spectating are unchanged, and work between 0.1.38.8 and 0.1.38.9.
