Search opens on your library
- The idle Search tab used to be blank if you had never searched. It now opens on your genres, each tile sized by how much of that genre you own, with the artwork behind the name
- The keyboard no longer forces itself open when you switch to Search. Tap the field and it appears, along with your recent searches
- Your recent searches belong to the keyboard now — they show while you are typing and get out of the way when you are not
- Where your files carry mood tags, moods are offered alongside genres
Your library, described by your own files
- Albums now read every genre your server reports, not just the first
- Mood tags are read for the first time, on albums and tracks
- An album knows whether it is a single, an EP or a compilation, because the server says so — the artist screen used to guess from the track count and the title, which mis-filed anything called "Singles Collection"
- Album headers no longer say "0 songs" before the track list has loaded
- Playlists carry their description, and know when a server has shared one with you that you may edit
Loudness normalisation
- New in Settings → Player: level every track to the same loudness using your server's own measurements, with a preamp to give back the volume that levelling costs
- Off by default, and it does nothing on a library that has not been scanned for loudness — it never guesses at a figure your files do not carry
An artist's discography, as a list
- Pressing "… more" over and over on a prolific artist is gone. The full discography opens as a list you can sort and switch to a grid, like everywhere else in the app
- Most played, Top songs and Popular tracks now agree: five rows, opening to ten
Fixes
- Jellyfin: a track with no lyrics reported an error instead of simply having no lyrics. Jellyfin answers "no lyrics" with a 404, and the app was treating it as a failure
- Jellyfin: a server that is briefly unreachable no longer interrupts you over favourites it can fetch again in a moment
- The "more" control on Top songs was never drawn, so that section could not be expanded at all
