🦊 v5.7.0

New

  • Added uc.flex.style-web-content-outline to control the outline of the web content area (0–2):
    • 0 = No outline (default)
    • 1 = Shows a highlighted outline only on the focused web content panel in Tab Split View
    • 2 = Shows an outline on all web content panels

Changes

  • Updated uc.flex.revert-to-original-flat-corner-style from a boolean to a numeric option (0–3) and expanded its behavior:
    • Firefox v145 changed the default corner radius from 4px to 8px. This option lets users restore older radii.
    • Users upgrading from older versions should delete the previous option and recreate it as a numeric entry.
    • 0 = FlexFox rounded style for the URL Bar and Search Bar (9999px, default)
    • 1 = Firefox v145+ rounded style for all elements (8px)
    • 2 = Pre-v145 square style for all elements (4px)
    • 3 = FlexFox rounded style for the URL Bar and Search Bar while other elements use the pre-v145 square style
  • Extended uc.flex.style-urlbar from 1–4 to 0–4:
    • 0 = Same layout as style 1 but the icons inside the URL bar never auto-hide.
  • Extended uc.flex.max-visible-horizontal-pinned-tabs from 1–5 to 0–5:
    • 0 disables automatic collapsing of pinned tabs in horizontal tab mode.

Compatibility

  • Added support for Firefox v146 β€œTab Split View” in horizontal tab mode.
FlexFox now supports Tab Split View in both vertical and horizontal tab layouts.

Fixes

  • Fixed a v5.0.2 regression that caused missing top-left rounding and color overflow when uc.flex.enable-rounded-web-content was disabled.
  • Fixed rounding and color overflow issues introduced by Firefox Nightly v147.

Notes

  • The option uc.flex.enable-translucent-urlbar-popup-and-menus, introduced in v5.6.2, allows the URL bar and menus to use a translucent background even when Mica or custom wallpapers are not enabled. The previous changelog did not mention that its transparency level can be adjusted with uc.flex.browser-mica-transparency-level, which works the same way as when Mica is active. The range is 0 to 4, the default is 2, and higher values produce a more transparent background.

The video below demonstrates several v5.7.0 options, including the web content border effect, restoring the pre-v145 square UI, and adjusting the URL bar and menu transparency.
