What's Changed
Full Changelog: 2.4.0...3.0.0
Customized dashboards
- The dashboard is now a grid of cards that admins arrange: drag to move, drag edges to resize, add and remove cards,
and set each card's options. Changes save as you go, and Reset to default restores the standard layout. - A corner tab in the top-right (admins only) starts editing. Double-click a card to open its settings.
- Phones get their own layout, so the small screen can be arranged separately.
- Cards stay where you put them. You can leave gaps (up to 5 empty rows) instead of everything packing to the top.
- Cards show more as they grow:
- Asset cards (Properties, Vehicles, People, Equipment) go down to a single row or column of round photos, with
names when there is room. - Dated lists (Records, Warranties, Due Maintenance, Reminders, Expiring Warranties) become a rotating carousel at
one row tall. - Spending Trend and Spending Breakdown scale from a number down to a chart, month-by-month bars and a full
breakdown.
- Asset cards (Properties, Vehicles, People, Equipment) go down to a single row or column of round photos, with
- New cards:
- Text: headings and notes with live values like {user} and {date}. Values link to the matching page or item.
- Clock: time and date in your regional formats, with an optional analog face.
- Planned Spend: upcoming costs from reminder estimates, by month and by asset type.
- Equipment Life: age against expected life for each item, plus the cost of replacing what is nearing the end.
- Service Activity: a calendar of service records, for everything or for one property, vehicle or equipment item.
- Health Visits & Expenses and Health Observations: the same calendar for people, for everyone or one person.
- Observation days are shaded by their worst entry, as on the Observations tab.
- The calendar cards fill the whole card at one row or one column wide.
- Spending Breakdown shows every category down to a single row or column.
- Period settings take a typed number of months: spending, the calendar cards and Planned Spend.
- The default dashboard now includes Service Activity, Spending Breakdown and Planned Spend, and drops Active
Property filter
- A per-device dropdown in the top bar narrows the site to one property. The filter is turned on in Settings >
Features (off by default). - Dashboard cards, costs and lists follow the filter.
Costs and planning
- Reminders can carry an estimated cost, repeat on set months, or happen once.
- Costs and asset pages show planned spend for the next 12 months.
- Equipment records whether it is part of the home, how long it should last, and what replacing it costs.
- Reminders can link a manual file and page that opens from the reminder row.
- The costs page tiles get charts with hover tooltips.
Insurance
- Home, auto, umbrella and life insurance have their own section.
- People, properties and vehicles can link their insurance policies from their own edit dialogs.
- Health policy files stay out of the assistant's document search.
Notifications
- Push notifications.
- The check interval is editable, and repeat warnings are available.
Assistant and settings
- Fields have help popovers.
- The assistant can be hidden.
- The assistant settings warn when the AI server is outside your network.
Security
- Next.js updated to 16.4.3 and the image optimizer is off.
- Changing an email requires the current password.
- Password-reset email is sent in the background, so response time no longer reveals which accounts exist.
- Each upload is parsed in a worker with a memory cap and a hard timeout.
- Turning Health off is now enforced on the server.
- Password hashes no longer reach the browser.
- A saved mail password is only sent to the host it was saved for.
- Updated postal-mime to 4.0.8 or later.
Fixes
- The room edit dialog no longer overflows, and its tabs scroll sideways on mobile.
- Fixes from a full QA pass: dates, input limits, silent errors, phone layout, user deletion and cue timing.
- The forecast loads in parallel, and help text loads on demand.
- The hidden assistant stays hidden on an Advanced save.
- The privacy warning checks IPv6 addresses correctly.
