• Far fewer "GitHub rate limit" errors on version check / update / install
GitHub's anonymous API allows only 60 requests per HOUR PER IP, so routers
behind CGNAT / shared provider IPs constantly hit the limit through no fault
of their own. NetShift now reads the latest version and downloads release
packages via the github.com redirect path (releases/latest ->
releases/tag/, releases/download//), which is NOT subject to
that API limit. The old API path is kept only as a graceful fallback.
✅ tested on real hardware - version check / self-update no longer touch the rate-limited API
• Subscriptions with a legacy "option subscription_url" now start correctly
Configs where the subscription URL was stored as a plain option (legacy / CLI
/ migrated setups) failed with "Outbound section not found" and sing-box never
started. NetShift now reads both the list and the scalar option shape, and
one-time-migrates the old shape to the canonical list. Subscription sections
from older configs work again.
✅ tested on real hardware - a scalar-option subscription config now starts and routes
