Overview

Genesix Wallet 0.2.0 is a major step forward! 🚀

This release delivers a cleaner and more responsive wallet experience, richer transaction information, an optional news feed, offline mode, and improved connectivity with XELIS applications.

Builds are available for Android, Linux, and Windows.

What's New

• 🎨 A refreshed wallet experience — Cleaner, more consistent, and responsive screens across wallet creation, transfers, burns, receiving funds, settings, network management, and the address book.
• 📊 More informative transaction history — Pending transactions are now visible, multi-asset transfers are easier to understand, and additional transaction types such as blob transactions are supported.
• 👤 Better address book integration — Saved contact names are displayed in transaction details, with improved contact creation, editing, and selection flows.
• 📰 Optional wallet news feed — Receive relevant Genesix and XELIS updates directly from the home screen. The feed is opt-in, localized, and dismissed news is remembered separately for each wallet.
• 📴 Global offline mode — Keep the wallet disconnected when you do not want it to communicate with the network.
• 🔔 Cross-platform XSWD notifications — When Genesix is running in the background, Connected App requests can trigger a local notification on Android, Windows, and Linux, allowing you to quickly return to the wallet and review the pending request.
• 🔗 Improved Connected Apps experience — XSWD connection requests are presented more clearly, with better coordination between dialogs, in-app messages, and system notifications.
• 🌍 Expanded language support — Indonesian has been added, alongside numerous translation and wording improvements across existing languages.
• 🌐 Clearer network selection — The currently selected network is now visible before opening, importing, or creating a wallet.

Bug Fixes

• Improved reconnection behavior and prevented connection retries from interfering with wallet logout.
• Fixed several wallet restoration and recovery phrase presentation issues.
• Improved biometric authentication behavior, including wallet-specific credential handling and correct support for explicitly disabled biometrics.
• Fixed asset information and presentation for several transaction types.
• Improved transaction retry visibility and history filtering.
• Improved XSWD request handling across Android, Windows, and Linux to avoid overlapping dialogs, in-app messages, and system notifications.
• Updated wallet, platform, and build components for better overall compatibility and stability.

⚠️ The application is still in an early stage. You may encounter bugs or unexpected behavior.
Development is ongoing, and more significant improvements and new features are planned for upcoming releases.

Installation

Android

• Use the 64-bit ARM APK for most recent devices.
• Use the 32-bit ARM APK only for older compatible devices.
• Enable installation from unknown sources if required by your device policy.

Linux

• Extract genesix-linux-0.2.0-x64.tar.gz.
• Run the executable from the extracted bundle directory.

Windows

• Recommended: run genesix-windows-x86_64-v0.2.0.exe.
• Portable option: extract genesix-windows-x64-v0.2.0.zip and run genesix.exe.
• The installer includes the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable bootstrapper and installs it only if needed.

Upgrade Notes

• Close any running Genesix process before upgrading.
• On Windows, run the latest installer to upgrade an existing installation.
• If you use the Windows portable build, extract the new version to a separate folder instead of overwriting the previous files.
• Take a minute to verify your backup status before any migration or update 🔐

Known Issues

• No release-specific issues reported at publication time.
