Stop a decoder without leaving the screen you are on. Every fitted decoder in the DECODE rail now has a STOP key, right under the presets that started it — and a START key once it is stopped. It is the same stop the fitted modules window has always offered, in the place you are already looking.

And stop all of them with one key. When two or more decoders are actually running, the rail says so in one line — several decoders at a time is what makes the audio stutter — and offers a single STOP ALL key above them. It stops what is running and nothing else: a decoder you stopped yourself is not restarted, and a fitted decoder that is not being fed is left alone.

This comes from a beta tester, who ended up with decoders running that were no longer wanted, found the audio stuttering, and had to go into the plugins window to stop each one by hand.

Nothing stops itself. The same report suggested decoders could stop automatically when you tune away. They do not, deliberately: tuning away for a moment is not the same as being finished, and a decoder that switched itself off would be its own bug. The key is yours to press. An optional automatic stop can be built on this later.

What has been checked. 139 tests pass on Windows and on a clean Linux clone, 28 of them on this feature alone, and they fail when the logic is removed. In the real application with POCSAG and FLEX fitted: with the receiver stopped the rail shows no running decoders and no STOP ALL, matching its own "0 FED" reading; with the receiver started it shows "2 FED", the warning line and "STOP ALL 2 RUNNING". That check is also what caught a fault before release — the first build claimed two decoders were running while the receiver was stopped.

Not checked: the keys have not been pressed by a real hand on this build. They call the same code the fitted modules window's keys have always called.

The Linux files are still in development. The Android alpha stays at 0.98.1-android.1.
