Linux freeze reports now say where the freeze was. On Linux, FoxSDR's freeze reporter asks each thread to describe where it is, and until now every description began with the reporter's own code, so every Linux freeze report looked the same whatever had actually stopped. Reports now start at the point where the thread really was.
A window the desktop is not showing is no longer filed as a freeze. The first Linux freeze report that arrived was the interface waiting for the Wayland desktop to draw a window it was not displaying. That wait belongs to the desktop, not to FoxSDR. It is now recognised as a display stall and kept on your machine, as Windows has done since 0.96.4. Freezes that are FoxSDR's own are still reported.
Nothing changes on Windows apart from the version number.
What has been checked. 138 tests pass on Windows and on a clean Linux clone. Both new tests failed on 0.99.5 first. The display-stall test classifies the frames from the real report. On Linux, the freeze-report test sends a real capture and checks that a sleeping thread's first frame is the C library, not the reporter.
The Linux files are still in development. The Android alpha stays at 0.98.1-android.1.
