Markers on the waterfall. Right-click the waterfall, on the receiver or on a patch Spectrum part, and choose Drop marker here to note a frequency without tuning to it. The menu names the frequency, rounded to what one pixel of the waterfall can show. The marker is a dashed line down the waterfall, a fainter one through the spectrum, and a tab along the foot such as M3 145.502; close markers stack their tabs up to three rows. Hover over one for its frequency and note. The same menu offers Remove marker, List markers..., Copy markers to clipboard and Clear all markers. The Markers window lists them in frequency order with the time each was dropped, a note you can type, and Tune, Bookmark and remove buttons. Copy puts them on the clipboard one to a line, tab-separated, so they paste into a spreadsheet as columns. Markers are numbered M1, M2 and so on, a number is never reused until the list is cleared, and they are kept after a restart. On a touch screen, press and hold the waterfall for the menu. Requested by a user.
Peak hold and average on the spectrum. Right-click the spectrum, on the receiver or on a patch Spectrum part, to choose Normal, Peak hold or Average. Peak hold draws a bold orange trace of the highest level each frequency has reached until you choose Reset trace. Average draws a bold ivory trace averaged over Average length, from 50 ms to 10 s, and averages the power rather than the decibels so the noise floor reads where it really is. The live trace keeps drawing underneath. Retuning the radio or changing its sample rate starts the held trace again. The choice is remembered. Requested by the same user.
The receiver's waterfall fits its window. It was laid out about 12 pixels taller than the space it sits in, so its oldest rows and the bottom of its SCROLL and decode plate were hidden under the frame. It now ends exactly at the bottom of the view.
Holding the left button on the waterfall no longer tunes. A click still tunes to the frequency under the pointer. A press held still for about half a second is now a hold, not a click, so a long press on a touch screen opens the marker menu without first tuning there.
