A decoder tunes the radio when you open it. Open a decoder's window from the DECODE bank, or start it in the Fitted Modules window, and the radio goes to that decoder's first preset with the right mode, bandwidth and sample rate, unless it is already there. Nothing to type. Never at start-up.
The sound no longer stutters on a real radio. The audio path ran with no reserve, so a radio's ordinary delivery jitter starved the sound card a couple of times a second (533 starved callbacks in three minutes on a USRP B200). It now keeps a 120 ms lead and rebuilds it after any gap: zero in the same three minutes. The AUDIO card shows the ring level, and the log records a line only when something starves.
A band preset reads true on the counter. Presets for ADS-B, beacons, ERT and the other whole-band decoders now clear the VFO offset, so the counter reads exactly the preset frequency instead of the offset you last dragged.
A tune the radio cannot make is said. Ask a B200 for 7 MHz and it answers 30.8 MHz; the app used to show that silently. It now says what was asked, what the radio answered and the radio's tuning range, in the Source section and the log.
Serial ports have a home. SYSTEM bank, "Serial ports": the machine's COM ports, a Refresh key, and the GPS receiver setup in one place.
