Eight new decoders, and a window for each that looks like the equipment. This release carries 0.83.0 and 0.84.0 together. The plugin catalogue gains ACARS, FLEX paging, two-tone sequential paging, VOR, WEFAX radiofax, 406 MHz distress beacons, ERT utility meters and 433 MHz weather sensors, all written clean-room from the published specifications. Each has an instrument window: a 1990s pager with its liquid-crystal display and message memory, an airliner ACARS printer feeding paper, a fire-station tone-alert receiver, a cockpit VOR course indicator with a working OBS knob, a marine fax machine's control panel, a distress-beacon alarm panel with the 15-character hex ID on seven-segment glass, an electricity meter's register, and an Oregon Scientific weather console. The rail row for each reads NEW while something has arrived that the window has not shown.

A new plugin capability. Instruments are the tenth capability in the plugin ABI: the plugin names a kind and feeds figures and words, and FoxSDR draws the equipment. The ABI number stays at 3, so every existing plugin loads unchanged, and a plugin built for a newer FoxSDR still shows a plain readout here.

Audio decoders are fed at the rate they ask for. The host now resamples the tuned audio to a decoder's own clock, as the ABI had promised since the first version; before this, a decoder built around anything but 48 kHz sat idle.

The bench is lettered in Georgia. Controls and prose in Georgia Regular, engraved captions in Georgia Bold, read from Windows at start-up (it is Microsoft's typeface and is not bundled); a machine without it keeps the previous face. Sizes came down to suit a serif, and everything fitted to the old condensed face was refitted: the function rail is wider, the frequency axis spaces its labels further apart, and the master lamps and the fax machine's lamp ladder are measured from their words. Counter digits stay in the monospaced face so figures do not dance.

Developer aids. F12 (or FOXSDR_SHOT_AT_FRAME) makes FoxSDR photograph its own framebuffer, because a screen grab cannot always see an OpenGL window; FOXSDR_DEMO_INSTRUMENT=pager opens a demonstration instrument with no radio; FOXSDR_SINGLE_VIEWPORT=1 keeps every window inside the main one for a sweep.

Not yet in the catalogue. The eight new plugins are built and tested but the public catalogue index has not been regenerated for them yet; they follow in a catalogue update.
