ProxiFyre 2.6.3

ProxiFyre 2.6.3 bounds log growth and adds tested instructions for manually deploying the application ZIP with the ownership and permissions required by the GUI.

Highlights

  • Bounded log retention: the active log rotates at 50 MiB, and ProxiFyre keeps the three most recent archives, normally limiting their combined footprint to approximately 200 MiB. This addresses #181.
  • Protected ZIP deployment: a tested Windows PowerShell 5.1 procedure verifies the archive checksum, creates a protected destination, and assigns trusted ownership. It refuses existing or concurrently created destinations and preserves the launcher's security checks. This addresses #182.
  • Release verification: artifact actions now use Node.js 24, with automated download and checksum checks for all three architectures.

Upgrading

Install the setup package matching your Windows architecture. Existing application rules and proxy settings remain compatible, and installer upgrades preserve your configuration and logs.

Old dated log files are preserved and fall outside the new retention limit. Remove or archive those older files manually if you need to reclaim their disk space. The GUI follows the new active log; its existing reset behavior at rotation is described in the logging documentation.

Downloads

For a normal installation or upgrade, choose the online setup:

Windows architecture Download
x64 (Intel/AMD 64-bit PCs) x64 setup
ARM64 (Windows on ARM) ARM64 setup
x86 (32-bit Windows) x86 setup

Standalone MSIs, application ZIPs, and SHA-256 checksums are also included. Use an MSI or ZIP only after the required .NET Framework, Visual C++ runtime, and Windows Packet Filter are installed; the ZIP is not an installer.

Implemented in PR #183.
