This pre-release adds a direct loader for the RTX20/30/40 Neural Rendering compatibility runtime. It addresses the driver rejection seen in the Monster Hunter Wilds report without restoring an NR helper DLL.
- The signed NVIDIA runtime keeps its existing driver path.
- The direct fallback recognizes only the tested ShortFuse 310.8.0 runtime (SHA256 E67DEE209320CDAFE0E93E45675D7AA34323A53ACC57A72B2E40A181581C989A).
- Covers DX12 NR and the DX11-to-DX12 bridge. Native Vulkan is unchanged.
- Includes the previous Starfield tracking fix and NR initialization diagnostics.
Choose the standard ZIP unless you need the optional RTX 40 MFG unlock; that variant is marked rtx40-mfg. Neither package includes NVIDIA NR/FG runtimes or an NR helper DLL. Keep your existing compatibility runtime installed.
Validation: Release x64 build, proxy/pipeline/GPU-lifetime regressions, and optimized RTX 5090 tests with four runtime load/shutdown cycles, eight feature creations, 24 GPU-fenced evaluations and finite, non-black image readback. The signed runtime still creates NR through the driver. Unrecognized binaries are rejected by the direct loader.
RTX 4070/other older GPUs, in-game modes and long-session stability remain untested. Please include OptiScaler.log with test reports. For RR games, try reduced Model Resolution with DLSS enlargement; this release does not change that rendering path.
