Diagnostic builds for NR initialization failures such as 0xBAD0000B. These add logging; they do not claim to fix that failure. Both retain the Starfield tracking fix.
Downloads
- OptiScaler-NR-v0.8.1-nr-diagnostics.zip: standard build; RTX 40 MFG unlock compiled out.

Collect the log
- Close the game. Replace the existing OptiScaler proxy with this package's
OptiScaler.dll, retaining the existing proxy filename (for exampledxgi.dll). Keep your INI and separately supplied NVIDIA runtimes. - Set these values in
OptiScaler.ini:
[Log]
LogToFile=true
LogLevel=2- Launch the game, enable NR and wait for the failure message. Press Retry once if needed, then exit normally.
- Send the complete OptiScaler.log from that run. A crash or Trainwreck report is not needed.
The log includes NVIDIA NGX initialization messages, search paths, candidate and loaded runtime paths/versions/SHA-256 hashes, device details, creation settings and the returned error. Capture includes worker threads and is limited to 512 messages per initialization window; normal NR evaluations do not trigger this capture.
Release x64 builds, NR regressions, callback tests and package checks passed. A headless NVIDIA test captured both successful creation and the explicit missing-runtime failure. MH Wilds gameplay and RTX 40 NR compatibility remain unverified locally. No helper DLL or NVIDIA FG/NR runtime is bundled.
