EchoMuse firmware v2.18.0-ea.3 (Early Access)

Early Access firmware: offered only by Early Access controllers, never by GA. Pair with controller 2.26.0-ea.2. One fix on top of v2.18.0-ea.2.

Fixed

• A muted Echo could come back unmuted after a power cut (#849). If the power went within a few seconds of pressing mute, the Echo started up listening. The mute state is now written to flash before the press is acknowledged, and the same holds for unmute.

Found in release testing on 2026-10-11 and retested that day on three Echoes (FireOS 5, emOS on the 32-bit kernel, emOS on the 64-bit kernel): mute and unmute each survived a power cut within 2 seconds, twice each way.

Known issues

• After unplugging the jack, the internal speaker has not been checked on our own Echoes (#566).
• An emOS Echo on the 32-bit kernel sometimes reconnects without rebooting (#816).
