Memory operations release. Everything below is on by default after deja update.
deja doctor --deepproves the index against the sources: re-parses a sample, resolves postings to live records, and separates ordinary staleness from real drift.- Session-start recall is task-aware: sessions touching the files your repo is changing outrank plain recency, and the receipt names the files.
- Trust scopes:
~/.config/deja/policy.jsondecides what memory activates where (search / mcp / auto × local / imported / per-peer).DEJA_AUTORECALL_LOCAL_ONLYstays as an alias. deja promoteturns a session into a curated note with provenance and a lifecycle state (accepted / rejected / superseded / stale); corrections append, notes outrank raw transcripts.deja stats --impactreports measured impact only: recalls served, session starts that began with memory, served-vs-raw ratio, reused sessions.- MCP: recent sessions exposed as browsable resources,
recallgainedoffsetpagination. - Worktrees of one repo resolve to one project in recall.
- share / sync export end with the redaction boundary line; doctor states the index is plaintext under file permissions.
Fixes: codex session-start hook no longer hangs on codex's open stdin (doctor now shows the codex trust state); the déjà vu prompt line requires identifier-shaped overlap, skips catch-all sessions, and rate-limits itself — no more false "you have been here".
Performance: session-start hook 470ms → ~120ms warm on a 1000-session index, prompt hook 290ms → ~50ms, records loading skips foreign entries instead of decoding the whole log. DEJA_TRACE=1 prints per-stage hook timings.
