Window controls, recording tools and everyday shortcuts gain more options, with less background work and stronger protection for saved content. This stable release brings together the improvements since 3.3.2, including the full beta cycle and the final reliability fixes.
Performance
- Dock previews: 50% shorter default opening wait, from 400 to 200 ms; 60% shorter app-switching wait, from 250 to 100 ms.
- CPU: less repeated work in window previews, mouse controls, search and cleaning; Quit on close stops causing excess CPU use in watched apps.
- Memory and graphics: fewer retained images and icons, more efficient recording effects, and less repeated work when adjusting watermarks or extra brightness.
- Background activity: fewer unnecessary checks and history writes; unused keyboard and mouse listeners are released when features turn off.
The Dock figures describe configured waits, not total loading time. Battery-life gains and overall CPU, memory or GPU savings have not been measured against 3.3.2.
