Summary

Vorssaint 3.2.0 adds the Command Bar, one field that finds and runs anything on
your Mac, plus app updates in one list, a searchable snippet menu, a super key
on Caps Lock and mouse button shortcuts.

Added

  • The Command Bar. One shortcut opens a field that finds and runs anything,
including the menu commands of the app in front. Under Command Bar, off by
    default.
  • App updates. One list of the apps with a newer version, ticked the way you
want, updated together. Under App updates.
  • A snippet menu. A shortcut opens your snippets in a searchable list and
picking one types it at the cursor. Under Text snippets.
  • A super key. Hold Caps Lock and it becomes Shift, Control, Option and
Command together, for shortcuts nothing else uses. Under Super key.
  • Mouse button shortcuts. Any extra mouse button can press a key
    combination for you. Under Mouse.
  • Full Screen joins the window layouts, the same one the green button gives.
    Under Window layout.
  • Screenshots can copy themselves to the clipboard the moment they are
taken. Under Screenshot. Thanks to @kingstyles.
  • Screenshots can run the action you choose right after each capture.
    Thanks to @403Denied.
  • Screenshot saves can go into dated subfolders and follow a file name
pattern you set. Thanks to @403Denied.
  • The radial menu gained slices for the Shelf, Cleaning Mode, Keep Awake
and window layouts. Thanks to @ruvelro.
  • You choose how the radial menu opens, by a press or by holding it.
    Thanks to @ruvelro.
  • The Cleaner can clear the media a messaging app leaves in your downloads,
always to the Trash and off by default. An optional organizer files new
ones into a folder you pick. Thanks to @ruvelro.
  • The last capture outline in the screenshot selector can be hidden.
    Thanks to @ruvelro.
  • W closes the highlighted window in the app switcher, leaving the app
    running.
  • The app switcher can list apps that are running with no window open, the
way the system one does. Under Switcher, still set to the Finder alone.
  • Hide apps from the volume mixer with a right click. The same menu brings
    them back.
  • Each removable drive in the Drives tab now has its own eject button.
  • Snippet triggers can ignore capitalization, and date variables can follow
    the format you want.
  • Each mouse feature can name apps to leave alone, for apps that use the
wheel and the buttons their own way. Under Mouse.
  • The app can stay light or dark on its own, apart from the Mac. Under
    General.

Changed

  • Settings groups App updates, Cleaner, Homebrew and Uninstaller under App
    management.
  • Recording a shortcut keeps the keys to itself instead of triggering the
    app or the system.
  • "Open the editor right after capturing" became the Edit after-capture
action, and existing setups keep working unchanged.
  • The scratchpad now closes when you click outside it. A toggle under Quick
    tools keeps it floating instead.
  • The app switcher now closes when you click outside it.

Fixed

  • Eject all disks now finds every external drive, not only the ones with
media that comes out, like a memory card. On most Macs it used to say no
    external disk was ready.
  • The app switcher now lists windows in the order you really used them. It
follows the windows you pick with the mouse, and windows of the same app.
  • The hot CPU alert no longer fires on a momentary spike. The temperature
now has to stay above the limit for a few seconds.
  • Quit on close no longer leaves apps running after their last window is
closed, including apps that hide the window instead of closing it.
  • The red dot in the panel is gone. It marked the Cleaner as new since an
older version and could stay on screen for good.
  • Showing the menu bar icon again waits for macOS to place it before
    reporting a problem.
  • Brightness keys step from where the monitor actually is. After a pause the
monitor is asked first, so a screen at 80% no longer drops to one step.
  • Brightness keys and sliders reach an external monitor again after the Mac
has slept. The connection is looked up fresh on waking.
  • Copy text from screen works again. The area is now picked with the app's
own selector, the same one screenshots use.
  • Muting the microphone now cuts every microphone, not only the one macOS
is set to. An app pointed at a headset of its own goes quiet too.
  • The app pickers list every app again, including the ones macOS keeps
    outside the applications folder.
  • The App Switcher and Dock previews now show windows from other desktops
too, and an option keeps everything to the current one.
  • Q in the app switcher quits from the Q on your keyboard, on layouts that
    put the letter somewhere else.
  • Undo works in the screenshot editor, and clicking an annotation selects
it instead of drawing on top. Thanks to @ruvelro.
  • The Homebrew settings page no longer breaks in narrow windows.
    Thanks to @ruvelro.
  • Opening the Cleaner page no longer blanks the Settings sidebar on the
newest macOS, and its tool switcher shows again.
  • Restoring the panel's quick controls also brings back a hidden Text
    snippets toggle.
  • Boosting an app's volume above 100% no longer crackles at loud moments.
  • The green button and window layout tools now resize slow browsers
properly instead of leaving them small or misplaced.
  • Volume levels for some games and tools were not saved since 3.1.15. They
are saved again and old ones come back.
  • The mixer repairs its audio path by itself after the Mac wakes, instead
of leaving an adjusted app silent.
  • An app you turned down no longer plays slowed down, or falls silent, on
earbuds during a call and on some other outputs. Thanks to @danilo-alm.
  • Paste as plain text no longer leaves the pasted style on what you type
next in some rich text apps.
  • Shelf items now follow their files across moves and renames. Only a file
that is really gone steps aside, with a note instead of a drag nothing
    accepts.
  • The Drives tab no longer shows a drive's format and location twice.
  • External monitors no longer go dark while adjusting brightness, and a
reconnected screen always comes back visible.
  • Minimizing several windows from the Dock icon animates them together
again, and restoring them ends with the right window on top and
    focused. Thanks to @Zvzdov.
  • Monitor blocks in the menu bar sit centered again on macOS 26 and
    earlier. Thanks to @wzxu.
