Second release of yt-dlp GUI. Since the first one, download errors are now explained in plain language instead of a cryptic message, update checks happen every 6 hours instead of every hour, and the Update button no longer stays visible once you're on the latest version.
This build is also a re-release of the same v2026.08.29. If you already installed v2026.08.29, you'll need to replace your .exe manually - the version number didn't change, so the app won't offer it as an automatic update.
One thing to know: if the in-app update fails with "Security validation failure: parent process has different executable!", close the app, grab the latest .exe from Releases, replace the old file and run it. Updating works again after that, and old builds are the only ones affected.
Everything else stays the same: paste a link, pick the quality, and download.
