Paper trading mode — deploy a fund and advance it one real market session at a time with fake money. Each session is appended to a hash-chained ledger under
~/.hedge-fund/paper/<name>/, so NAV is a track record rather than something that resets. The broker keeps its own book, reconciled against the ledger before every session, and any failure halts the fund until a human clears it. Run it from the terminal app: highlight a fund to see what its next run will do, approve the exact decision before anything trades, and review the full session history. A fund can also be run more than once in the same day. -
Blinded agents now see company size as a market-cap percentile instead of a raw market cap. Size stays comparable across the universe without handing the agent a number it can use to identify the company.

PEAD requires an 8-K before treating a quarter as a surprise. A 10-Q/10-K filing date is the statutory filing, not the announcement, so the old behavior fired days to weeks after the market had already priced the beat or miss. Pass
announcement_only=Falseto restore it.
