- Badges for what is playing. An imported badge pack can now be matched against the stream the
player has actually decoded and drawn alongside the player controls, not only against what a
source addon advertised on the sources screen. The pack's own rules decide what appears, so a
pack written for the Android TV app works here unchanged — resolution, codec, HDR format, Dolby
Atmos and DTS variants, channel layout and the audio track's language are all offered to it.
Off by default: turn it on under Settings → Playback → Source list → In the player, which appears
once a badge pack is installed. - Resume progress on the sources screen. Picking a new source for something already part-way
through now shows how far in that is, with the time remaining. Episodes report their own
position rather than the series'.
Changed
- The remaining-time label on Continue Watching cards is translated. It had been English in every
language since the rail shipped.
Fixed
- Dolby Vision files are identified as Dolby Vision by the new player badges rather than as HDR10.
A profile 8.1 stream carries an HDR10 base layer, so the source colorimetry alone describes it
incorrectly.
