Your library now survives a storage clean-up
Apple TV is allowed to delete an app's cache when it needs space, and that is where
your library and your resume points were kept. If you use a Nuvio account they came
back on the next sync. If you do not, they were gone for good.
What you saved and where you stopped are now stored somewhere the system cannot
reclaim. Artwork still lives in the cache — it can always be fetched again — so a
title recovered this way may show without its poster until you next open it.
Nothing to turn on, and nothing to do.
Subtitle timing you can actually fix
Two things, and the first explains why the second was worth doing.
The subtitle delay was not reaching addon subtitles. It adjusted subtitles built
into the file and nothing else — which is not where most subtitles come from. It now
applies to both.
And you can point at a line instead of counting. In the player's subtitle panel,
Sync to a line lists the lines around where you are. Pick the one being spoken and
the timing snaps to it. A file that is four seconds out took eighteen presses of the
stepper; it now takes one.
A theme of your own
Settings → Appearance → a new Custom swatch. Scan the code with your phone, pick a
colour there — your phone's own colour picker, not a D-pad — and the pressed shade,
the focus ring and the card background follow from it.
The Apple TV shows a preview, and that is the screen to judge it on: a colour that
looks good on a phone can vanish against the picture from across a room. Watch the
focus ring in particular — it is what tells you where you are.
Search suggests titles now
Typing "juras" offers Jurassic Park, not just what you searched for last week.
The suggestions come from what your addons already returned, so there are no extra
requests and no waiting.
A launch screen, if you want one
Settings → Appearance → Startup. Off by default. It only appears on a launch heading
for the home screen — never in front of a title you opened from Top Shelf or a
continue-watching tile.
