French, everywhere you actually watch
If your Apple TV is set to French, the whole viewing experience is now in French:
home, search, discover, your library, the Trakt and Simkl lists, the cloud
library, a title's page, cast, comments, the source list and the hand-off sheet,
the player and all its overlays, post-play, profiles and the sidebar.
Settings is still English. It is by far the largest part — 571 pieces of text
— and translating it properly is its own piece of work rather than the tail of
this one.
Nothing changes if your Apple TV is set to English.
Under the hood
The app now refuses to build if a piece of text asks for a translation that does
not exist, exists in only one of the two languages, or is defined twice. That last
one is the quiet failure: two definitions, the second silently winning, so a
corrected translation can sit unused under a stale one.
