Scrubbing no longer covers what you are scrubbing through
With the controls hidden, pressing left or right used to bring the whole transport bar up and then seek — the bar landing over the bottom of the frame you were hunting through. It now seeks in place behind a compact readout: the target time, how far the jump has travelled, and where that sits in the film. Up or down still brings the transport back, and holding a direction still accelerates.
The readout is a label, never a control. It stays out of the focus graph, so the next press reaches the player rather than landing on it.
Parity audit re-run against Android TV 0.8.9-beta
The previous audit named 0.8.7-beta but measured an older commit, so several "missing upstream" findings were made against the wrong tree. Corrected, along with three claims that came out of it — including the IMDb rating-visibility controls, which had been withdrawn as "not a parity item" when they had in fact shipped in the tag named.
Torrents now require a debrid service, stated plainly. This was never a choice to make: upstream runs TorrServer as a native binary in a subprocess, which tvOS does not permit at all.
