This release closes three of the largest functional gaps found by the deep parity audit against NuvioTV Android TV 0.8.7-beta.
Simkl is now a real library and progress source
PIN authentication was already present, but the account stopped there. 1.0.12 adds all five library states, remote resume points, and start/pause/stop scrobbling. IMDb, TMDB, TVDB and anime-oriented identifiers are carried through instead of silently dropping non-IMDb shows.
Search and Discover continue past the first page
Search now publishes results incrementally, cancels stale requests and keeps recent queries across launches. Search See All and Discover both request the next Stremio skip page at the end of the list, de-duplicate responses and reset correctly when the query, catalog or genre changes.
Player recovery stays inside the player
mpv startup is no longer considered successful merely because loadfile was accepted: the engine waits for decoded video configuration. Startup and sustained stalls share one bounded recovery policy, AVFoundation can fall back to mpv, and a retry resumes from the live playhead without throwing the viewer back to stream selection.
The parity audit ships with the release
docs/PARITY-AUDIT-1.0.12.md records the exact Android baseline, the 1.0.11 state, what this release closes, and every remaining partial, missing or intentional platform difference.
The release candidate passed 174 unit tests and 8 Siri Remote UI tests. The app and Top Shelf extension are both versioned 1.0.12 (14).
The IPA is unsigned — sideload it with your own signing.
