⚠️ Alpha build — this release is for early testers only. Take a backup before upgrading, expect rough edges, and please report anything broken. Regular users should wait for the upcoming beta.
📊 Watch progress and rewatch
- Clear watch progress for movies and series from the More menu, resetting local progress and connected Trakt, Simkl, and MDBList history. Provider menus also offer separate resets for just that service.
- Hold a season tab to mark or unmark the season as watched, separately for local history, Trakt, Simkl, and MDBList. Available on touch and D-pad devices, with provider-specific status and retry handling.
- Rewatch completed movies and series: clear progress with the global reset, then start the movie from the beginning or the series from S1E1. Completion labels follow your Tracking settings and refresh after tracker-menu changes.
- Player episode progress now follows the selected tracking policy more consistently, including excluding disconnected MDBList progress.
⚡ Sources and saved playback
- Keep the saved source visible when reopening an episode's sources, including a cached-link fallback when it is absent from fresh results, with a notice explaining that fallback.
- Selected-source indicators stay aligned when switching source tabs, and old episode-specific links no longer appear as current-episode choices.
- Fetch all results from a provider even when pinned playback supplied just one source, in both players.
- Native Android startup recovery can search for replacement sources without closing the player. Rejected saved sources are unpinned and their cached links cleared, rather than permanently blacklisting them.
🎬 Player experience
- A redesigned startup screen in both players, for movies and series, with animated loading feedback, readable status, playback details, and a Back action. MediaKit layouts adapt to small screens and retain a noninteractive startup shield in picture-in-picture.
- Series auto-advance stays inside the Flutter player instead of briefly returning to the source-loading screen.
📺 Native Android player
- Source cards now use the addon's original formatting, with logos and badges aligned with the Dart player.
- Player menus match the MediaKit layout and theme more closely, with grouped options, preserved audio/subtitle controls, and improved D-pad focus when opening shortcuts or subtitle providers finish loading.
