github varunsalian/debrify v0.9.3-alpha.1

pre-release13 hours ago

⚠️ Alpha build — this release is for early testers only. Take a backup before upgrading, expect rough edges, and please report anything broken. Regular users should wait for the upcoming beta.

🏠 Spotlight Home and Collections

  • Expanding cards and trailer previews now work on tablets and desktops, with mouse-hover selection and touch-scroll highlighting. Desktop scrolling keeps selection under the pointer.
  • Spotlight collections open straight into all their rows, skipping the category tiles.
  • Expanded portrait cards use landscape artwork and a bounded width while keeping the row’s height, avoiding oversized previews.
  • Improved short-row scrolling, selection, and preview handling during scrolling and resizing.

🌨️ Animated backgrounds

  • Three optional animated backgrounds: Snowy mountain, Midnight rain, and Moonlit ocean, shared by Spotlight Home and Collections. Find them under Home Page Settings → Spotlight Animations. Keep animations off on low-end TVs or devices with limited memory.

🎬 Episodes and playback

  • Shuffle across an entire series, with a choice of one random episode or continuous shuffle before playback, plus a shuffle control in the Apple TV player.
  • Picture-in-picture on iOS, including browsing while video plays and returning to the player.
  • Showcase episode parallax now follows touch scrolling on iPads and tablets, just as it does on phones.
  • Added a 100% watched-completion threshold option and improved playback recovery near the end of a video.

⚡ Sources

  • Bind local video sources on Android with persistent document access.
  • Show add-on logos and Use add-on text formatting are now on by default, including a one-time enablement for existing installs. Turn either off afterward under Quick Play → Sources. New profiles preserve explicitly copied choices.
