⚠️ Alpha build — this release is for early testers only. Take a backup before upgrading, expect rough edges, and please report anything broken. Regular users should wait for the upcoming beta.
🏠 Spotlight Collections and Home
- Spotlight Home cards now expand horizontally when focused on TV, revealing the title and description inside the card, with smooth transitions and parallax.
- Trailers play directly inside focused Home cards — loading begins after a two-second dwell, with a further smooth expansion as playback begins. No need to open the title.
- Spotlight comes to Collections — open a category directly into its row, then browse neighboring categories up and down, with expanding focused cards, descriptions and trailer previews.
- Spotlight is now the default Collection page style, with a one-time switch for existing users in this alpha. You can select another style afterward.
- Gallery, Filmstrip and Journal receive refreshed red-accented styling and trailer previews.
- Focused-card expansion and descriptions are on by default, with a Home Screen setting to turn them off.
- Hide collection headings such as Networks and Genres on Home.
- Collection shelves include loading and retry actions, including short touch/mouse lists that cannot scroll yet, and category navigation uses the active screen layout.
🎬 Search and trailer previews
- TV Search gets larger cards and a compact header, without the separate hero taking up space.
- Search cards gain parallax, focused-card descriptions, expansion and trailers, and follow the card-title/rating visibility setting.
- Trailer previews begin loading after two seconds of focus, with a subtle loading indicator on cards. Card titles and descriptions fade away after two seconds of playback.
- Trailers play once per focus session, instead of repeatedly restarting; leaving and returning allows a new preview.
- The trailer timing and non-looping behavior also cover Home heroes and Discover previews. Card previews respect reduced motion and share one decoder to limit resource use.
- Fixed poster flicker during same-title metadata refreshes and restored the partial catalog-failure warning in TV Search.
⚡ AIOStreams formatting, source badges and addon identity
- Use add-on text formatting preserves original stream names, descriptions, line breaks and emojis from addons such as AIOStreams, instead of replacing them with parsed filename text.
- Original-format rows retain custom stream badge strips and clear Torrent / Direct / External indicators in source lists and the in-player source picker.
- Show add-on logos adds the provider logo and name beside sources. Both options are available under Quick Play → Sources and are off by default.
📺 Apple TV
- Retuned Siri Remote touch navigation and fixed catalog Search submission when title suggestions are present.
☁️ WebDAV sync
- Collection page style, card-title/rating visibility, and Home/detail trailer autoplay and audio settings now sync between updated devices.
- Added diagnostics for sync scheduling delays.
