⚠️ Alpha build — this release is for early testers only. Take a backup before upgrading, expect rough edges, and please report anything broken. Regular users should wait for the upcoming beta.
📊 MDBList integration — everything, everywhere
MDBList support has been building up behind a flag for a while; this release turns it all on. Connect with your API key under Settings → Connections → MDBList, then:
- Watch tracking — watched progress scrobbles to MDBList as you play, and Continue Watching / cross-device resume can run on your MDBList account, including Up Next for shows and Continue Watching rows on Home
- Discover source — browse your own lists plus MDBList's top, curated, official, and external list directories right inside Discover, with movie/show filtering, sorting, shuffle, and full paging for huge lists (thousands of items load completely)
- List search — the Search tab's new Lists mode finds any public MDBList by name; open it on the spot, or save it into your own lists
- Stremio TV channels — import any MDBList list as a live channel, with a dedicated MDBList filter group and one-tap refresh
- Calendar — MDBList works as a calendar source for upcoming episodes of what you watch
🎬 Playback & subtitles
- Experimental: automatic subtitle sync in the MediaKit player (Settings → Playback → "Auto-sync addon subtitles"). While you watch, the player quietly listens to the audio and aligns downloaded subtitles to it — an offset is applied only on a confident match, and your manual timing always wins
- Auto-sync analysis runs on a lossless, timestamp-accurate audio transport, fixing inaccurate offsets on macOS and keeping verdicts consistent across seeks, audio-track switches, and long sessions
- A quiet status pill shows what auto-sync is doing: a one-line heads-up when it starts, "Checking…" while a pass runs, and a word-only result — on both the phone/desktop player and Android TV
- Sources now prefer add-on direct links when available, improving playback start reliability
