⚠️ Alpha build — this release is for early testers only. Take a backup before upgrading, expect rough edges, and please report anything broken. Regular users should wait for the upcoming beta.
✨ New
- A new look for the profile gate. Stage Cards is a sixth gate style and the new default: glass portrait cards with the avatar filling the card face. On a TV the focused card grows behind a white rim and re-lights the room around it; on a phone the grid stays evenly lit. The five earlier looks remain selectable, and if you already picked one it is kept.
- The PIN screen, restyled. Meridian drops the global red for the profile's own wash colour, adds a ghost monogram behind a squircle avatar, and gives the TV a full-width Unlock light bar. The entry row shows all eight slots — four full-size required segments plus a quieter tail — so a six-digit PIN no longer looks finished at four. On a remote the keypad wraps: ◀ from 1 lands on backspace, ▶ from backspace lands on 1. Flows, recovery codes and the DPAD contract are unchanged.
- Catch-up in the Live TV guide. Open a channel's full guide and you can page back through what already aired — Yday, −2d and −3d now sit beside Today. Only programmes your provider actually kept are listed, the window shortens if the provider offers less than three days, and channels without an archive are unaffected. The compact now/next panel is untouched.
- Trim the Discover posters. Settings → Discover → Poster cards adds switches for the Movie/Series tags and the ratings shown on each poster. Both stay on, so nothing changes unless you turn them off, and the setting is per profile. Home rows and the See All pages you open from Home keep their badges either way.
- Remove a title from Simkl outright. Simkl only ever offered moving between its five list states; there is now a Remove action that clears the status entirely. It asks first, because removal also clears watched history, your rating and saved playback progress — and it now clears Simkl's paused sessions too, so a removed title can't reappear in Continue Watching.
🐛 Fixed
- Connecting a tracker didn't start scrobbling to it. Trakt, Simkl and MDBList are now added to the scrobble targets the moment you connect them — including a connection shared into a profile — instead of quietly connecting but never syncing what you watch. Two trackers connecting at once no longer overwrite each other.
- Holding OK on a Continue Watching card did nothing. On the Spotlight home board a held press now opens the card's Play/Remove menu, matching every other row; a short press still opens details. The still-held button can no longer activate the row under it as the menu appears.
- TV search stranded the remote after you submitted. Submitting from the on-screen keyboard left focus nowhere useful across search, Browse, playlists, downloads, the addon hub and the channel guides. Focus now hands off to the results — unless you already moved on while the search was in flight, in which case a late result won't yank the remote back.
- Apple TV reported no app version, and couldn't finish pairing. tvOS has no
package_infoplugin, so the app never knew its own version and every version-gated migration silently declined to run; the runner now answers that lookup from the app bundle. Pairing also works when the sender is a TV — the code sheet submits itself on the sixth digit instead of trapping you in an editable field. - Large episode packs could kill the TV player seconds in. A 400-episode pack pushed its metadata and full guide past Android's broadcast size limit, and the undeliverable broadcast took the whole process down. Both blobs now travel as files with only their paths broadcast, and a failed hand-off stays retryable.
- The onboarding trackers step contradicted itself. With MDBList enabled it offered three trackers while still saying "Both are optional".
📄 Project
- New guide — Choose what Discover opens on. Every option on the Discover settings page: which source the grid lands on, what the poster switches hide, and why an add-on can read Unavailable.
