github varunsalian/debrify v0.8.12-alpha.1

pre-release3 hours ago

⚠️ Alpha build — this release is for early testers only. Take a backup before upgrading, expect rough edges, and please report anything broken. Regular users should wait for the upcoming beta.

✨ New

  • Take control of your tracking — new Settings → Tracking section. Three controls, each answering one question:
    • Scrobble — which services record what you watch (Trakt, Simkl, MDBList). Debrify always keeps its own history.
    • Progress source — who owns resume, episode-list progress and Continue Watching: Smart (everything combined, most recent activity wins), This device only, or a single tracker.
    • Watched ticks — which histories draw the ✓ on posters, everywhere posters appear.
    • The much-requested setup now works: scrobble to Trakt and keep Debrify-style Continue Watching that only leaves at your watched-at percentage — set Progress source to This device. Reading a tracker you don't scrobble to works too.
    • Every Continue Watching row stays available on Home in every mode — hide the ones you don't want in Home layout, as always.
  • Pinned and debrid sources open like a normal video — no more "Checking stream 1 of 5" ceremony. Your stream opens straight into the player with its usual loader; the failover screen only appears when a source is actually dead and alternatives are being tried.

🐛 Fixed

  • Resume no longer restarts from the beginning. Resuming could show the right position for a moment, then restart at 0 — and that restart then destroyed the saved position. Fixed three layers deep: the bookmark can no longer be overwritten by a failed seek (phone and TV), a seek that doesn't stick is caught and re-issued within seconds, and debrid streams are no longer seeked at the worst possible moment in the first place.
  • Continue Watching cards only promise what Play will honor — card progress, episode label and time-left now come from your chosen Progress source, so the Home card, the detail page and the Play button always agree.
  • Mark watched/unwatched is consistent everywhere — any menu, any page now updates local history plus every service you scrobble to.
  • Quick Play's failover-count description now notes the season-pack exception.
