⚠️ Alpha build — the headline this time: Debrify runs on Apple TV. This release is for early testers only — regular users should not install this and wait for the upcoming beta. Expect rough edges and please report anything broken.

🍎 Debrify comes to Apple TV

  • A native tvOS port, running on real hardware — the full app: Home, Discover, details, both TV modes, IPTV, trackers and playback
  • True 4K output (no more 1080p compatibility mode) and a fix for the 10-bit "blue screen" on HDR files
  • An OTT-style control dock built for the Siri Remote; Menu and BACK behave like a TV app should, and Menu at the root exits to the Home Screen
  • The tvOS keyboard's action key now actually submits — search and logins work end to end
  • Hand playback to Infuse or VLC when you'd rather use their decoders
  • Every release now ships a sideloadable tvOS IPA (Sideloadly-compatible)

🎨 Looks — one picker themes the whole app

  • The app is themed end to end. Pick a Look in Appearance and Home, navigation, Cloud, Settings, Calendar, Addons and the details page all follow — twenty palettes with per-theme typefaces, grain and texture
  • Every token under a Look stays editable for fine-tuning
  • Appearance settings reorganised around the question each row answers

🏠 Home — the Spotlight era

  • Spotlight: the new flagship Home — a pageable full-bleed hero with trailers, shelves riding over the picture, all four favourites rails, and a Surprise me mood
  • Five more TV Home layouts — Atrium, Mosaic, Promenade, Deck and Tonight — beside Classic and Canvas
  • A parallax focus cursor with real mass — lift, tilt and glare on a spring, in the tvOS tradition
  • Spotlight and Showcase now run on phones, tablets and desktops too — a mouse hover lifts cards like a remote resting on them, and wide windows can swap the nav rail for a floating pill
  • Updating installs wake up in the Spotlight Look — your explicit choices are preserved
  • Ten more launch idents, a TV hero artwork-quality setting, and list rows on Home

🎬 Details — Showcase

  • Showcase: a details page that dissolves into its own artwork — key art, an edge-to-edge hero, and trailers on TV
  • The details page learns what IMDb knows, including a Parents Guide
  • Browse movie sources straight from Showcase, and four more layout choices beside Classic
  • Two-pane polish: RIGHT crosses into the episode pane, and focus can no longer land on a card that's gone

📺 Player

  • Every player dialog and menu redesigned in the Spotlight grammar — the unified menu, source sheets, subtitle sync, track pickers — for both touch and DPAD
  • The in-player IPTV guide rebuilt for DPAD — category dropdowns, filters and schedules all reachable now, and styled to match
  • Debrify TV finally says what's on — a broadcast-style lower third with channel and title
  • The player stops downgrading what your hardware can take — 10-bit stays 10-bit where the display allows
  • Player battery efficiency work, and a credits marker in the middle of an episode is no longer treated as credits
  • A phone→TV handoff now leaves a trail in Continue Watching

🖥️ Desktop & Linux

  • The Linux build bundles its own mpv (and GTK stack) — playback works out of the box, pointed at the host's drivers
  • Rails scroll with the mouse wheel, and search earns a place in the rail everywhere one exists

🛠️ Polish

  • Android TV gets a focus cursor it can actually afford — browse stutter on budget boxes reduced
  • Home's first seconds stop paying for chrome — snappier cold opens
  • Focus never hands to a stale card, and BACK at the TV root opens the sidebar
