What's new in Hermex 2.0
Hermex now talks to Hermes directly. Add a Hermes host as a server and chats, Sessions, Tasks, Kanban, Skills, Memory, Usage, Files and Git all run against it, with no webui in between. webui servers are now legacy: they keep working and get fixes, and new features go to Hermes.
Move to Hermes
- Each webui server asks once whether to move, then keeps a banner on its chat list. The guided move brings chats, drafts and push pairing to a Hermes host through the normal Hermes sign-in.
- It scans before it changes anything, can be paused and resumed, and old links follow the moved chats. When it finishes, it offers to move the next webui server or remove the old one.
Chat on Hermes
- Stream replies; answer approvals, questions, sudo and secret prompts; attach images and documents; and use /goal, /btw, background, and slash commands with autocomplete. The agent can send images and files back.
- Pick the model, Profile, reasoning, personality and fast mode from the composer.
- Every chat shows the plan and the turn's outcome, and lets you follow and interrupt delegated work.
- Listen to replies in the host's voice, and dictate with the host's speech-to-text.
Sessions and the rest of Hermes
- List, search, rename, pin, archive, branch, duplicate and export sessions; edit, regenerate, undo and retry inside one. Cached sessions show at once while the host connects, and stay readable offline.
- The home switches between Bots and Sessions from a floating bottom bar, with a Profile filter and a new-chat button.
- Files and Git: browse and preview files, find them with
@, and stage, commit, push and switch branches. - Tasks, Kanban, Skills, Memory and Usage all work on Hermes. Update Hermes from Settings.
- Links, push taps, Live Activities, Shortcuts and the share extension open Hermes sessions too.
- Sign in to hosts that use browser sign-in (OIDC).
Settings and fixes
- Settings opens on a short index, with each server's settings on its own page, and one Thinking & Tools picker.
- Approval cards keep arriving after a dropped connection, a chat reconnects when the host reclaims an idle session, and push setup explains when the host needs a restart.
