✨ JET Pilot 2.3: Health, split view and windows
JET Pilot now tells you what's broken, what changed before it broke and what will hurt next, and shows more than one thing at a time.
🩺 Health
- What's broken, in plain words: one row per broken workload, job, node or volume claim across your active clusters, such as "Secret fraud-model-credentials doesn't exist".
- Open one to see the likely cause, the last crash, the logs before it and the failing probe. Fix it with a dry-run diff first: raise a memory limit, roll back, restart or retry a job. When Helm, Argo CD or Flux manages the object, JET Pilot offers the patch to copy instead.
- Snooze or acknowledge what you already know about.
🕰️ Changes
- What changed, newest first: image bumps, config edits, scaling, Helm releases, GitOps syncs, restarts and node conditions, with who did it and a diff.
- From the cluster's own history, plus a record JET Pilot keeps while it's open: 14 days, on your machine only. Secret and ConfigMap values are never stored.
- A Changes section in the side panel of workloads, pods, config maps, secrets and nodes.
🛡️ Risks and upgrades
- Risks: missing limits and probes,
:latestimages, single replicas, missing disruption budgets, privileged containers and certificates about to expire, checked when you ask. - Upgrades: support dates for EKS, GKE, AKS and Kubernetes, the deprecated APIs your objects and Helm releases still use, and add-ons that need an update. The Clusters hub notes clusters near or past the end of support.
- No network calls: the data ships with JET Pilot.
✨ Ask AI
- Hand a problem, an object or a cluster to the agent you already use: Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, GitHub Copilot CLI or a command of your own, in a terminal tab with
kubectlpinned to that cluster. - Careful by default: on read-only clusters the agent starts in its read-only or plan mode. It's off until you pick an agent in Settings › AI. JET Pilot stores no keys and sends nothing itself.
🪟 Split view and pop-out windows
- Two views side by side: Alt+click a sidebar item, or press ⌘\ / Ctrl+\. The sidebar, the palette and back and forward follow the pane you last clicked.
- A window of its own: Shift+click a sidebar item or a tab. Running shells move without restarting, and windows come back after a restart.
🔗 Connections and links
- Through a bastion: connect a cluster through a SOCKS5 or HTTP proxy, or an SSH jump host. JET Pilot keeps the tunnel open while you use the cluster and never asks for a password.
jetpilot://links to objects, lists, Helm releases and Health tabs, for Slack, runbooks and alerts. Links only navigate.
🧰 And
- Log volume: a slim chart above the logs; drag across it to show only that time range.
- The kubectl equivalent in confirmations and the row menu.
- Copy as CSV from the row menu, the selection bar or ⌘⇧C / Ctrl+Shift+C.
- Notify me when a rollout you started finishes or gets stuck.
- Drain checks first for disruption budgets, bare pods and emptyDir data.
- One JET Pilot: opening it again brings the running app forward.
Every fix in this release goes through the guardrails: read-only clusters block it, and protected clusters ask you to type the name.
