The repeat menu says that its intervals are adjustable (#862). The four options - daily,
weekly, monthly, yearly - read like fixed values, because the field that turns them intoevery 2 weeksorevery 3 monthslives in a block that stays hidden until one of them is picked. A
reporter opened a thread asking for custom intervals and found them himself a few days later,
by picking a frequency on the off chance: "sorry for opening a topic about an already built-in
feature, could have searched a little longer". He had not searched too little; the menu had
answered the wrong question.A line under the menu now says the interval is free to set, and names two examples. It is shown
in exactly the state where the misreading is possible and goes away with it - the hint and the
detail block are complements, never both there and never both gone. The select's
aria-describedbyis removed along with the hint rather than merely hidden, because a directly
referenced node counts towards the accessible description even while hidden - otherwise a
screen-reader user would keep hearing the hint that answers the question they just answered. Task
and appointment forms share the field, so both get it.
