What's Changed
- iCloud Backup is now encrypted using AES-GCM. You can use either the key embedded in the app or a custom password. In the former case, your backup will be automatically migrated and encrypted and it will work as before, so you can safely reinstall the app and retain access to it. For the latter, you'll need to set it up in the Backup section. You can change or remove the password at any time, but in case of missing password there's no recovery besides the full wipeout of the Backup.
- watchOS now supports both default encryption and a custom password. For the latter, you'll need to pair the watch with your phone. You can remotely revoke the watch's access at any time.
- Support for Advanced Data Protection for iCloud (ADP)
- Sync improvements
